At 20 I thought....

that over 40 was pretty old.....

would never have thought that a 42 yr old Mum would drive for over an hour across town in just her underwear.....

But that's just what I did yesterday afternoon....

While wrapped discreetly in a towel (of course)!...

And I sang while I did it!

Of course the was a reason for this crazy woman behaviour.....
We decided to spend the afternoon at Dreamworld -with our year pass this is now a viable option - we are only paying for petrol now plus maybe a snack treat.
It had been a drizzly morning but there were sunny breaks.
Arriving at 1.30 we could see many were leaving after having had their fill of wet fun.
Which was Great for us - No Lines!!
It was a special day there, as a fundraiser for the Starlight Foundation they had the Storm Troopers there.....
but the boys Bravado all dried up when we saw them and they would even have their photos taken with them.
So we went to our Fav - Nick Central and did some rides
Then #1Son took on the Raptosaurus rollercoaster for the first time
and it was AWESOME!.
We tootled our way around the park getting wetter & wetter
then topped it of on the Rapids ride, emerging totally soaked and heading for the car.
But the boys were freezing and I only had 2 towels in the car (which was quite forward thinking of me I thought!)
So we thought we may have to pay for an exy theme park T-shirt for each of theme
But found another towel instead -made a dash to the car, stripped off and wrapped up in the towels.

Wait you say - 3 towels -but there's 4 of you!
Well YD had been down the coast to a Memorial service and had thrown in a change of clothes so HE was set from the start!

And I cruised up the highway, singing in my undies!

How come?

Why is it I can watch sad movies and rarely shed a tear, yet I find myself tearing up every time I watch some of the Olympics??

Go Australia - I didn't think we had so many in with a chance at the winter sports.

How come a 4.5 yr old thinks you should wear protective ear wear while having a bubble bath?

Meanwhile,

we had this visitor in our chook house last week......

being safely held by the 'Snake guy' -YD wouldn't go near it for mega bucks!

-and the chooks were ok, but had to be forced to sleep in back their house in the following days....
